For Ukrainian Women’s Day
Today, on Ukrainian Women’s Day, I reflect on Lesya Ukrainka not as a symbol of toughness, but as a woman of depth and living vulnerability. I do not feel drawn to the label “strong woman,” because I believe femininity is not about proving independence. For me, being a woman means remaining open to care, gentleness, and mutual need. I see fragility not as a flaw, but as something precious that carries life and meaning. And today I consciously choose not to demonstrate strength, but to preserve tenderness and allow myself to be protected as well.
