Our Lent Looks Different

With Jerry’s situation, our lives turned upside down, and hospital schedules and rehabilitation plans replaced the structure we once relied on. We may be finishing Advent when others are beginning Lent, but I have learned that faithfulness is not measured by calendars, only by presence. In this season, my priority is walking closely with my children, supporting my husband as he relearns to walk, and keeping our hearts anchored in God amid uncertainty. Our rhythm looks different, and we may appear “behind,” yet I see how God is shaping something deeper through this desert. Step by step, I am discovering that we are not late — we are exactly where we are meant to be.
